ABOUT THE EVENT

Cascadel is a new Indie Folk Rock project based out of Missoula Montana. Formerly playing together as The Dead & Down, this project charts a new course as they blend elements of folk, rock, and Americana with modern, melody-driven sensibilities. With Lenka Swenson on bass, David Bethke on drums, Matt Angelo on keys and frontman Taylor Burlage on guitar, their sound is characterized by heartfelt lyrics, lush harmonies, and psychedelic undertones. Their first EP The Hunt is out on all platforms.

Charlie Apple’s sound fuses the rhythm and narratives of classic country, Americana and western psychedelia with an underbelly of deep house music and hip hop. Apple's baritone vocals call back to the dark cowboy, with vocal influences such as Lee Hazelwood and Johnny Cash.  With dusty vocals, sharp songwriting, and a modern approach, Apple brings an intimate yet rowdy energy to every show.
