ABOUT THE EVENT

The Inspector Cluzo is a rock-blues guitar/drums duo formed in 2008 in Mont-de-Marsan, France by Laurent (Guitars, Vocals) and Mathieu (Drums).

They met 30 years ago on the benches of the Math Sup. of the Lycée Victor Duruy and studied fundamental physics afterwards. Since then, they have never left each other, either musically or agriculturally. They have been playing together for more than 30 years, are multi-instrumentalists (Tenor sax for Laurent & Trumpet for Mathieu) and started music at the age of 7. Since 2008, TIC has played more than 1200 dates in more than 67 countries, in a completely self-produced way visiting festivals like Lollapalooza Chile and Brazil, Oppikopi festival (South Africa) or Fujirock (Japan), Pentaport (South Korea) but also India, China, Peru and Madagascar.

In fact, they have always been self-financed, the key to their total independence. They have nothing against the majors or multi-nationals, but they believe that this system is no longer adapted to the 21st century, both for reasons of global equality between the North and South of the planet, and for obvious environmental reasons. Producing and creating their own economic, social and environmental wealth locally with what they have, where they are, seems to us to be more appropriate for the 21st century. They are therefore our own Management and Label via their production company "F. the Bass player Records" & "Ter à Terre", as well as their own E-shop which they manage themselves with Nathalie (Label Administration/Management and Farm). They therefore have limited means to finance their musical activities, but they are content with that. That hasn't stopped them from touring the world and releasing 9 albums in 15 years. When you order an album or T-shirt on their site, you're ordering directly from them and directly funding their activities. It's a journey, an adventure guided by the strong convictions they've developed on their travels around the world. They don't think they are right, but this path corresponds to their aspirations and they want to show that it can work.

For the past 10 years, they've also been farmers & peasants on the "LOU CASSE" farm near Mont-de-Marsan in the Landes de Gascogne. Today, in these times of global warming, this is their main activity, as they are on the front line of environmental change at the LOU CASSE agro-ecological farm. Their farm enables us to be food self-sufficient and to produce for others locally. Their music is totally organic, they play 100% live at their concerts, there are no tracks or pre-recorded tapes. Nothing against it, just the desire to be as natural and organic as possible, like the Blues: their natural musical anchor.

Tim McNary is a Cinematic Folk Artist from the Southern United States. He found his passion for songwriting while backpacking throughout South America after college. Some of his musical influences include Ben Howard, Foy Vance, & Leif Vollebekk. He's had many film & tv placements, collaborated with a host of recognized songwriters, and toured extensively around the United States & Canada.
